Birth Control Pill Rec
I know a lot of women struggle finding a good birth control pill so I thought I would share this great pill I've tried and I rec to other people.
It is called Necon 1/35
If you are stuck with severe cramps and bleeding this pill drastically reduces the problem. Without a pill normal bleeding ranges from about 5-7 with cramping. With this pill it's about 2-4 in my experience.
It also clears up acne.
I originally was prescribed this because I wanted something extra for my skin. I get bumps on my chest/ arms and this has really helped eliminate that problem. Before this I took Orthotricyclen Lo which I had horrible side effects on. You name it, I had it. Depression, nausea/almost vomiting, no reduced bleeding or cramping, etc.
My sister had also tried EVERYTHING for cramps and she could never find a decent solution. I rec'd her this and she loves it.
I've had no side effects with this. I lust after Shakira regularly, no loss of sex drive. No nausea, etc. If you are looking to switch and have problems on other pills, try this one.

I'm on the same thing, only a different generic brand called Nortrel 1/35. It has worked wonders for me. I have had issues with breakthrough bleeding when I was on OTC-Lo, I also cried over just about anything. This pill has been a lifesaver for me.
So, if youre a girl and want to bang the shit out of Shakira, this pill is for you. Basically.

OTC was the worst experience ever, glad I decide to give BCpills another shot. Thanks for adding your experience.

Cool! My OBGYN just changed my prescription yesterday; something called Junel. He wants to re-evaluate in April, so if this isn't working, then Imma ask him about this!

@ShimmerBodyCream - @Saridactyl - that's crazy about the ortho lo! i took it before i had babies (note i only got pregnant the first time because i stopped taking it lol) and it drastically reduced my heavy periods/painful cramping. i just restarted it not long ago but haven't had a period with it yet so we'll see how that goes!

The one I have is messing me up completely (mood swings, headaches, etc).
The next time I am in a situation where I may provide birth control pill suggestions, I will remember this.

@grizzlybearr - The tri-phasic pills just don't work well with my system. I just couldn't handle the hormonal fluctuations as well as some woman can.

@grizzlybearr - I have heard a lot of people like ortho tri cyclen lo and it's supposed to be really easy and mild, I suppose each body is different?? I was surprised at my symptoms because my doctor told me ortho should have the mildest symptoms/least side effects, so you are probably in the majority.

Thanks for the post! My pill is okay, but I can tell it decreases sex drive...I'd like to switch to one that will make me feel more "normal."
@arenfro - I have noticed a decreased drive with the ortho tri cyclen lo, no decreased drive with this. Although I don't use it for actual birth control so I don't know if I can give the best feedback.
@ShimmerBodyCream - I take Apri (aka Desogen/Solara), and I definitely notice a difference from when I wasn't on it. I'm practically ready to get off BCP and use condoms just so I can be happy again. However, I'm really not ready to get pregnant, so I'd love something that worked better instead. I don't have all of the other symptoms/problems, just lowered libido.
I hate the thought of changing BC again... I've been trying different kinds. Most had severe depression effects and had to discontinue. But, currently I'm taking Lo Loestrin Fe and I really like it... even though I really suck at taking a freakin lil pill on daily basis but it works. I will definitely keep yours in mind next I have a check up and have time to ask for another option. thanks!
Nice to know. I wanna get on the pill soon. I don't know what I was on a few years ago, but I suffered all of the side effects.
I've always wondered why there hasn't been a pill developed for men. I would have taken it. I've known plenty of women who have struggled so much with trying to find a birth control pill that works well for them.
damn i have a love hate relationship with birth control...one its awesome NO BABIES..but...it really fucks with girls in a bad way...i

Do you know if you can nurse while taking it?
I have the Mirena....I LOVE it. Never having to worry about taking a pill or a ring. lol. It's 99.9 percent effective. And, no periods for five years. But...I think you have to have kids before getting it.
I hate cramps D: I don't use any pill cuz i don't use any penis either but I'll ask my dr about this, life would be wonderful without cramps.
