Help save Xanga for FREE!! (please rec!)

Reddit.com is an extremely popular link aggregate website. (The 116th most popular website on the internet) It drives large amounts of traffic.
On Tuesday, June 4th, at 8pm Eastern @Cakalusa is going to post a link to Xanga's fundraiser on Reddit.
Posts on Reddit become popular through "upvoting." Upvoting is voting for a post by clicking on the upwards pointing arrow. The more upvotes a post has, the more visibility the link will get. posts on the front page of Reddit get MILLIONS of hits. But even if there aren't enough upvotes to reach the front page, the more upvotes a link has, the more visibility it will get!
HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP, FOR FREE!
1. Make an account with Reddit.com (you may want to upvote a post to make sure you know how to do it*)
2. Get on Reddit.com 8pm Eastern time, THIS TUESDAY!! (june 4th) and upvote the post Cakalusa makes
3. To find the post Tuesday it will be posted on Cakalusa's site, my site, and @Thetheologianscafe site. I will also post the link in all of the Facebook groups and subreddit.
*Click the upward pointing arrow by a post, NOT the downward pointing arrow, it has an opposite effect.
Please rec this, make your own post advertising this event, or please make a reddit account to help us.

@neuroticfitchmom - I'm assuming that they want enough upvotes to create visibility and potentially make it to the front page of Reddit (which is where extremely upvoted and popular posts end up), generating even more visibility. Reddit has had a run of making crazy things happen (which commonly include raising thousands and thousands of dollars for certain causes) when a hivemind forms and decides to dedicate itself to something.
Props for effort, but I'm not seeing how this is the saving grace...? Are complete strangers going to buy in just because other complete strangers tell them that it's an awesome community? I feel like such a pessimistic beotch lately, but I just don't think it will be the same after this.
Worth a shot, I suppose.

The gist is that I would (or someone else willing) set up a paypal account to collect random donations for Xanga's continued existence, then purchase as many memberships as it will buy.
I'm not interested in keeping my blog here, but I do love Xanga, so I would like to help.
